Hello All, Little intro about me: I am on H4 visa with masters degree and last 8 months moved to states. I am at present in the state of dilemma how to peruse my career and confused when and where I should start. Lot of my friend have asked me to join volunteer organizations or work in library. But seriously I am not looking something to "kill my time". I want to make proper use of my skills and education. I was wondering if you people could share your success stories/ or your friends, what they have done in past to progress with their career like studying - then in which stream, if volunteering- then with which organizations and if you/ they got work permit by changing status from h4-h1 visa (then where you/ they successful in finding job and how long it took to find one. Please share your stories or someone you know...May be the inspiration of your story could open doors for others and give them a lead in the directions. Please share!!
